TRADGUARD Temporary Mesh Edge Protection is our highly versatile edge protection solution, compliant to EN 13374 Class A. The system is suitable for nearly all types of construction; including reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber frame and civil engineering applications. Since TRADGUARD’s launch in 2014 it has been used on a number high profile projects across various sectors.
The core component of the system is the TRADGUARD Mesh Barrier. A mesh panel, 1.2m high, with an integral toe-board that provides complete edge protection. The standard size barrier is 2.6m long and weighs just 17.5kg per unit, making it the lightest barrier on the market.
The barriers use aluminium posts, connecting to a variety of different socket attachments for different applications. This light yet robust system connects to almost any suitable base material using one of the many different attachments available.
When a greater edge protection height is the required the addition of the TRADGUARD Make-up Barrier, working as an additional mesh panel which increases the total height to 1.9m.
Can be installed by any competent person
Wide range of attachments for a variety of applications
Greater level of containment than guardrail solutions
Lightweight - aluminium posts and the 2.6m barrier altogether weigh 17.5kg
Adjustable vertically and horizontally (structural steel applications)
Fully adjustable in-situ
Compliant to BS EN 13374 Class A: 2013
TRADGuard Mesh Barrier
No. 315001 / 315005 / 315010
TRADGuard Mesh Barrier is 1.2m high, has an integral toe-board and is available in 3 length sizes; 2.6m, 1.3m & 0.6m.
TRADGuard Make-up Barrier
The TRADGuard Make-up Barrier is used in addition to the standard barrier and increases the total height of the edge protection to 1.9m.
No. 315025 / 315020
Aluminium posts that support the barriers and connect to the attachments. Two sizes available, 1.35m and 1.9m.
The TG Holder is designed to locate the barrier on the post. The item is typically used on structural steel applications where the barrier needs to be supported
on the post as there is often no floor deck for it to sit on.
Typically used on a concrete slab the TG Foot allows mechanical fixing to and suitable horizontal surface.
TRADGuard Edge Bracket
The TG Edge Bracket offers a method of attachment to any suitable vertical surface, this could be a slab edge, timber cassette edge or pre-cast stair stringer.
TRADGuard Web Bracket
Specifically designed to bolt to structural steel beams including I-beams and RHS and PFC steel members. The socket attachment is adjustable to accommodate an overhang of up to 350mm of the floor past the steel. It can also be used to connect any suitable vertical surface in instances where adjustment and/or off-set are required.
TRADGuard Steel Flange Clamp
A quick and easy solution for clamping to structural steel I-beams. The clamp connects to the lower flange of the beam. The clamp offers for off-set and adjustment in-situ.
The TG Clamp is highly versatile as it is multi-directional allowing it to be used both horizontally and vertically. It has a wide range of applications which include slab edges, parapets, upstands and box section steel. A quick, easy and non-intrusive method of attachment.
TRADGuard Stair Barrier
The TG Hinge allows for connecting to barriers together at an angle. Often used in corners, this item provides a safe and structural way to connect edge protection barriers together when a post is not present.
TRADGuard Stair Barrier
The TG Stair Barrier offers a systemised solution for providing temporary edgep rotection to precast stairs. The barriers are supported by the standard TG posts which are mechanically fixed to the stairs by either the TG Foot or TG Edge Bracket; alternatively the system could be clamped using the TG Stair Gripper.
TRADGuard Stair Gripper
A quick, easy and non-intrusive method for connecting/clamping the Stair Barrier system to pre-cast stairs.
TRADGuard Adaptor Plate
Primarily aimed at the timber frame sector, this item can be used with the TG Foot, TG Edge Bracket and TG Web Bracket to allow these brackets to be Tek screwed into timber rather than ‘bolting through’ the material.
